too much talking (advertising) not enough bull rid
The event did not start in time, a bit over two hours to see less than 160 seconds of actual rider on top of a bull. The public address system was way too loud, hokey comedy routines between groups of competition. Particularly insulting was the attempt to introduce interstate football rivalry to excite the crowd. Most of the spectators thought it was a drinking event as opposed to a bull riding competition. One guy from Brazil was touted as a potential world champion could not even get his rig wrapped around the bull and was disqualified for taking so long. The high profile riders were first to be thrown off. They even went so far as to pass off bulls named "war eagle" and "bama" (I suspect those same bulls will be named "gator" and "Seminole" when they get to Florida. Two tickets with fees and parking was just over 200 dollars. I'm no math wizard, but I can work that out to over a dollar per second of bull riding. All in all, it goes down as a couple of hours I will never get back.
